A fixture that falls into the jinxed category is certainly Kent v Leicester, in 2014 the Cubs entered the National Trophy and this fixture was affected by rain twice before being completed at the third attempt!
Today saw the postponement of the TouchTec Kings v Leicester Cubs, and a restaging date has quickly been agreed - that new date is Monday July 29th (6:30pm start) and is a date which should allow both teams to be as near to full strength as possible as current injuries should heal by then, this will allow Kent second strings, Alex Spooner and Jordan Jenkins to be back in the Kings’ fold for this vital National League clash, with hope for reserve Dan Gilkes to be fully recovered by then as well.
After winning the National Trophy last Monday (3/6) the Kings must wait another seven days before they take to the shale once again, this will be in a National League fixture with a 6:30 start. From there the Kings face tricky away and home Knock Out Cup ties against the Belle Vue Colts (Away 20/6; Home 24/6). It certainly promises to be action packed for the TouchTec Kings.
