The fireworks won't be confined to the track action on Monday (9/10) when Kent Speedway brings down the curtain on the 2017 season with the annual Laurels individual championship.
A huge gala fireworks display (a first for Central Park) will follow the completion of the racing ensuring a successful season ends with a bang and a lot of whizzes!!
The meeting itself will now really be a case of the 'captains complete' with the fantastic news that Stevie Boxall - the Kings' skipper from 2013 - is fit to compete: taking the place of his Plymouth Devils team mate Adam Roynon. This means the field now includes Boxall, Lambert, Morley and of course Bowen - captains and Central Park racing legends all! Boxall is of course the holder with Simon Lambert the winner the previous three years.
The meeting is an absolute must see - unquestionably the best line up ever for an individual competition at the venue.
The action gets underway at 6.30pm and after the fireworks conclude proceedings they'll be Rider farewells in the Central Bar.
