SPEEDWAY HEAVEN AT HALF-PAST SEVEN: BACK TO YEAR ONE WITH BUXTON HITMEN THE VISITORS
Wednesday 10 June 2020
Back to the Future this week takes Kent fans to the most important year in the history of the club, 2013 when the sport of Speedway debuted at the Central Park Stadium in Sittingbourne. And a match that was as closely contested as is really possible as National League stalwarts, Buxton Hitmen were the visitors in a match which put the flame into Flaming June!
It's streaming free to view courtesy of broadcasting partners, Rerun Productions on the Kent Speedway website at 7.30pm today (Wednesday 10th. June)
And as ever, just as Kent always stages meetings on a weekly basis in the Speedway season, there's more action to follow next week too with a choice from these gems from the past:
2013 vs. Rye House Raiders:a Tunnel Trophy clash with the Raiders featuring a first ever CP appearance by Laurels legend, Simon Lambert
2017 vs. Birmingham Brummies - could the Kings get revenge on their West Midlands rivals?
2018 vs Eastbourne Eagles: talking of rivalry they don't come any bigger and fiercer than when Kent & Sussex clash! This one went to a last heat decider - air blowers were needed to cool down the red hot atmosphere!
Voting for next week's choice of meeting starts today (Wednesday) and closes at the old curfew time of 8.30pm on Monday 15th. June - fans can pick their favourite choice on Facebook (either on the Official Kent Kings page or on the fans page, SOKKAR), on Twitter at @kentkingslive or by email to info@kent-Speedway.com
