The fund raising draw for the dependants of the late Danny Ayres, Kent Speedway's much loved former star rider was put back due to the delay to to the start of the Kent TouchTec Kings' season and is now being held on Sunday 7th. June - the day Danny's benefit meeting at Mildenhall Speedway was due to take place.
The draw will be streamed live from 3.30pm on the Kent Speedway TV Facebook page with TouchTec Kings' rider Rob Ledwith coming along to help and the following riders among those lined up to drop in virtually during the draw to pick the winners of their prizes: Kent 2020 skipper and seven-times British Champion, Scott Nicholls; two team mates of Scott and Rob's in the ranks of this season's Kings' men: Tom Bacon & Dan Gilkes; multi-grass;track national and European champ and former Kent favourite, James Shanes; 2018 Laurels' winner Jon Armstrong plus the legendary former Kings' skipper and reigning Laurels' champion, Luke Bowen and five-times SGP winner, multi Danish national champ, Niels Kristian Iversen.
Adopting Danny's famous own expression for describing his extraordinary racing career, 'From Arsey to Classy' the raffle has attracted incredible support from across the sport of Speedway with over 30 riders & clubs sending prizes
The prizes up for grabs in the grand raffle include:
Scott Nicholls: one of the 'Claudio' shirts made famous by Scott's appearances on TV's Speedway coverage; a GB Team top; and gloves
Luke Bowen: set of fork covers, testimonial programme
