MAKE A PLEDGE FOR LOCAL LAD HARRY PLEDGER'S NHS CHARITY RIDE
Wednesday 13 May 2020
Kent Speedway is proud to be sending its support to one of our most loyal and active young supporters, Harry Pledger as he undertakes a brilliant fundraising effort to support NHS charities, 8 year old, Harry Pledger is from Sittingbourne and is one of the Central Park-based Kings keenest young fans - always entering MunchKings comps and a real regular at the Speedway stadium in his home town.
Let's hear what he's up to in his own words, "Hello my name is Harry Pledger and I am 8 years old. I live and go to primary school in Sittingbourne. I like to go on bike rides with my dad and I think it’s really important to stay fit and healthy, even in lockdown! I have decided to do a sponsored bike ride in order to raise money for our local NHS. They are doing such a great job, so I thought I would do my little bit to help. "I will be keeping to the government rules and only using my lockdown exercise breaks to cycle a little every day and accumulate the equivalent distance of cycling from Sittingbourne to the NHS Nightingale Hospital, in Docklands, east London (which means I need to accumulate 40 miles locally) "I am determined I will complete it, but I really need your support! "I would like to raise the money to help NHS charities because the NHS staff and key workers are working so hard to keep us safe, risking their lives while we are safe at home. Please sponsor me so we can show our thanks for all they do for us.Thank you so much for whatever you can donate, big or small!"
