TOUCHTEC BACKING FOR LEAP WEEKEND FRANCO EXPEDITION
Sunday 01 March 2020
A trio of Kent TouchTec Kings took shelter from the still inclement British weather to head to the more temperate climes of Mâcon in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté area of east-central France this weekend (28/2 to 1/3) to get on track at the famous Speedway venue in the city.
As co-promoter Len Silver commented, “Our new skipper Scott has been very keen to get started on working with his team mates and this is the first opportunity. And with the as ever invaluable backing of our club sponsors, TouchTec and the personal backing of their owner, Rob Kashdan the 1.200 round trip to Mâcon was arranged with Scott joined by Tom Bacon and Robert Ledwith”
Ledwith reported back on a successful Continental sortie (especially valuable for a rider who saw the latter half of his 2019 campaign blighted by injury), “It was a fantastic weekend in Mâcon with a great bunch of lads. I got lots of laps in with three motors which was useful and woke up my riding muscles after around five months off the bike! Big thanks go to Robert Kashdan from TouchTec for his amazing support to me and to the whole club, Russell Etherington as ever doing a great job on the spanners and all the lads who were out there riding with us. Can’t wait to get racing!”
Three of Ledwith's Kent Iwade Garage Royals will be in track action this coming weekend at The Dirt Track Show in King's Lynn. Organised by good friend of Kent Speedway, Karl Rushen of Motorshowevents.com, the two day event being held on Saturday 7th. & Sunday 8th. March at the Norfolk Arena in King's Lynn will see (amongst an amazing array of action of two & four wheels) Alex Spooner, Jake Mulford and the Royals' new signing, British Youth Champion Sam Hagon well and truly blow the cobwebs off in the Speedway part of the event.
