The Kent Speedway National League [NL] side are sure to be all revved up and ready to go come the new season, with the news that the team sponsors are going to be Iwade Garage.
wade Garage have been good friends and valued backers of the club the past few seasons and that’s taken a stage further now by the successful family business based in nearby Iwade stepping up to be the team sponsors for the Kings’ as yet un-named second team which will continue Kent Speedway’s presence in Speedway’s third tier.
Iwade Garage is one of the leading car repair and maintenance businesses in Swale, based in the middle of the thriving village of Iwade on the outskirts of Sittingbourne, it is family-owned and run and as owner Si Kellow puts it, “We specialise in keeping vehicles doing what they should. Iwade Garage look after a multitude of vehicles including the grading tractors used at the Speedway at Central Park, preserved fire appliances, racing saloon cars in the CMMCS Trophy as well as any car that our customers can bring to us".
Of the sponsorship deal, Si Kellow goes on, "It's no secret that we enjoy our Speedway, and that we at Iwade Garage have gotten progressively more involved with the Kent club year on year. In seeing the Kings move up to the SGB Championship, we took the decision to be a part of the new chapter in NL racing at Central Park, and eagerly await the outcome of the competition being run with local schools in January 2020 to know what the team is going to be known as."
