Details of the 2019 Supporters of Kent Kings [SOKK] Rider of the Year Awards.
Following the final match of the season and the poll (as in all home matches) for the Rider Of The Meeting, all the votes have all been counted. All that remains now is for the winners in the three categories to be presented with their awards. The winners’ names will not be made public until the awards are presented at the Kent Speedway End of Season Party on Saturday 16th November at Central Park.
The SOKK Rider of the Year award is an annual shield, provided by the good folks at The Boiler Engineer Ltd (thanks to Wayne Chapman). Also, as has been the tradition of late, the winner will receive a keepsake trophy provided by our great friends at CTA Fire (thanks to Gill Best-Knight and Sean Knight).
There’s an annual shield also for our SOKK Young Rider of the Year. Both the shield and a keepsake trophy are provided by Iwade Garage (thanks to Si and Drew Kellow).
The third category is the SOKK Special Award, which is awarded in recognition of one rider’s special contribution throughout the season. This winner will receive The Dave Raines Memorial Trophy, provided again this year by those die-hard Kings supporters, the Raines Family (thanks to Wayne Raines et al).
