September has dawned and that always sees the minds of the top National League [NL] riders turn to the big individual title up for grabs at its now traditional home, Leicester’s Beaumont Park: the NL Riders’ Championship.
The top two riders from each of the eight NL teams will convene at the East Midlands venue on Sunday 22nd. September (on the very eve) of the Play Offs – so that means representing the Kent TouchTec Kings are GB U-19 champion Drew Kemp and his NL Pairs title winning partner, Anders Rowe.
The only deviation from the top two of each side involves the Isle of Wight Warriors whose Georgie Wood is currently suspended from riding and so a ‘wildcard’ comes in to take his place, Belle Vue’s Leon Flint – meaning the Manchester-based Colts have three riders in the field.
