Kent Speedway have been rocked by the news that stand-in skipper Jordan Jenkins has announced he's taking a break from the sport with immediate effect.
A statement issued by the club this morning (Wednesday 21 August) reads,
We are unhappy to report that Jordan Jenkins, who signed for Kent at the beginning of the season, has decided not to race again this year. Although team manager Chris Hunt, has not pressured him in any way, Jordan has been suffering with a lack of confidence in recent weeks and has been unhappy with his own scores.
Co-promoter, Len Silver comments, "One of the nicest riders I have ever dealt with, a young man with lots of future promise which I hope he will realise when riding for Kent again. I wish him well".
