The draw and the riders line up has been announced for the National League Pairs at Sheffield Speedway to be held on Sunday August 25.
All eight NL clubs will compete, with their pairings split into two groups of four for the six-heat semi-finals. The top two in each semi will progress to a six-heat Final, meaning 18 races in all on the day.
The Kent TouchTec Kings are represented by men of the moment, first and third respectively in the recent GB Under 19 Championship, Drew Kemp and Anders Rowe. There's no question though that the Kings' teenaged pairing are in the more difficult of the two Groups - up against reigning Pairs champ (he won it when a Kings' man back in the last time it was staged in 2015) Ben Morley and IOW partner, Georgie Wood and table topping Leicester's duo, Danyon Hume and Ellis Perks plus Stoke's National Fours winners, Joe Lawlor & Tom Perry.
There's a former Kings' favourite in Group 'B', Nathan Stoneman representing Plymouth alongside a former Pairs title winner, Ben Wilson. Favourites to qualify from that group are likely to be Belle Vue Colts (who visit Central Park on Monday 19th.) who field Kyle Bickley & Leon Flint (4th. & 5th. respectively at Redcar in the U19s) and Mildenhall (the Kings' opponents at their home track in Suffolk on Sunday 18th.) who have Jason Edwards (who split Kemp and Rowe on the U19 rostrum) paired with their recent signing to replace the injured Danny Ayres (who was Morley's winning partner in 2015), Ryan Kinsley.
