Following confirmation received by the club that Nathan Ablitt does not intend racing for the remainder of the 2019 season, Kent have re-declared their one to seven replacing Ablitt (average 2.00 points) with Jake Mulford (2.00 average).
This is Jake's first National League [NL] side having turned 15 years earlier this year and making a number of appearances, showing considerable promise, for the TouchTec Kings earlier in the campaign. Jake, who hails from Norwich in Norfolk, is also a very accomplished Grasstrack rider - with a number of schoolboy and youth titles and in this, his first senior year on the Grass too, he was runner up recently in the British 250cc Championship.
Chris Hunt, Kent Team Manager commented, "We're delighted to have Jake on board now as an official Kings' rider. He is a hugely promising young prospect and rides fearlessly and without respect at all for the reputations of some of the more experienced riders he's pitched in against and we've seen the result of that already, taking some notable scalps in just a relative handful of rides he's had at NL level already"
